Medieval Knight Suit “Paladin”

Gorget, pauldrons, arms and legs set

This exclusive set is another take on our beautifully etched 16ga stainless steel Paladin armour.  We developed this kit for the warrior that wants to “upscale” their maille or brigandine armour body armour with high quality pieces of plate. Great armour for fighters looking to move from rattan into full steel combat as the outstanding defensive coverage combined with the flexibility make this armour a winner on and off the field.

The Pauldrons are based on the tournament pauldrons created by Master Biagio for Giovanni Spanzotti in 1460 and give tremendous protection for the armpit area with the rigidly attached (okay, solid) “besagews”.

We offer this kit, and the individual pieces, in mild, cold-rolled steel to meet the exacting standards of some medieval recreation groups. Check what's included:

Not included with this partial kit, but available in store:

Maille is not included.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding. For size measurements for sabatons, please send the actual measurements of the footwear you plan to wear under them.

Medieval Martial Arts are, by their very nature, dangerous and ArmStreet is not responsible for any injuries sustained by persons wearing their armour during the course of such activities. We cannot stress enough the importance of proper training, armour, weapons and knowledgeable supervision during these activities.  Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the wearer and their opponent for the safety of the participants.

Safety disclaimer: Sword-fighting and fencing is a dangerous sport. Fencing, historical fencing, medieval reenactment and martial arts as well as other related types of activity, are inherently connected to a certain risk level of injuries or death. The Company declines all responsibility for any traumas or harm done to oneself or to the third person, along with any material or consequential damage, impaired during the products usage. We admonish that all acts with armour, weapons or their components have to be performed before designated person who is responsible for safety of the particular event and accredited to supervise armour and sport weapon conformance to the event’s standards.

Is the maille available in store?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Joshua, the maille is not available for purchase, unfortunately.

  • Keill 08 of April 2018:

Just wondering if it’s possible to get this suit of Armor with a breastplate and without the demigauntlets?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Keill, yes it is possible. Please contact our support manager to arrange the order.

  • Lucas 17 of January 2018:

Is the cloak pictured available for sale?

    ArmStreet:

    It`s not, sorry.

  • Blake 06 of August 2017:

I'm interested in purchasing this armor, but the gambeson I ordered hasn't arrived just yet so I don't have my measurements, and I'm worried that the deal on this armor and free shipping will be over by the time it arrives, I was wondering if there was any chance we could work something out?

    ArmStreet Team:

Dear Blake, you may place the order while the sale is active and send us your measurements later once you receive the gambeson.

  • Blake 24 of July 2017:

I'm worried that the leg armour will be sliding down my leg while wearing, is there anything I need to buy sepretley to make the leg armor most comfortable without having it slide down?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Blake, leg armor can be tied to your belt or gambeson with the help of ties and arming points on the gambeson.

  • Andrew 16 of July 2017:

Hi guys, I was just wondering whether you are able to offer the armour blackened at all please?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Andrew, yes we make blackened armor. Please check our Wayward Knight Armor

  • Ron 25 of December 2016:

Would you guys reproduce a suit? Like say from a movie, the movie is Excalibur.

    ArmStreet team:

We do accept custom orders sometimes, but we cannot copy or recreate the design of the other authors/dress designers/movie costumiers/video- and computer games developers etc, since it can be regarded as a violation of intellectual property rights, sorry.
We can make something similar, but we kindly ask you to send us some pictures and description of what you want to get, then we`ll see if we are able to make it.

  • Northern Shield 25 of July 2016:

I love the look of this armor, something that I was looking for. But I have a question that naggs me a bit. Is it posibble to spray paint the armor in to different colors? Or are you going to implement the feature where you can choose different metal types?

    ArmStreet team:

Basically spray painting is acceptable, our masters spray paint the inner side of the mild steel armor in black to avoid corrosion, and it works. This armor is made of stainless steel, so you could consult with someone who is expereinced in painting such kind of metal. Please note, our armor is a finished product, and we're not responsible for the outcome of any subsequent manipulations, such as painting.

  • Sara charles 11 of August 2015:

How much will I save if I get it without etchings or polishing?

    ArmStreet team:

You'll save 15% of initial price. To get the discount, please email us at contact@armstreet.com.

  • Elizabeth Barlow 30 of April 2015:

When ordering plate armor, does Armstreet have experience making pieces for female-bodied fighters? I'd love to make a purchase someday, as I'm currently saving up for a breastplate and other pieces- but I'm hesitant to set my sights on anything in particular for my goals because much armor 'for women' I find has molded breasts that make me fear for my sternum and male armor, as I've seen it on the field, when worn by women tends to fit awkwardly, as though the armorer did not consider the different shape of the body underneath the armor, most notably a lack of considering for the size of the hips, causing the armor to dig in at the hip bone. I see a lot of measurements are required for ordering, which is encouraging, but I was wondering just what experience Armstreet had with making their armor suited (pun intended) for female-bodied wearers.

    ArmStreet team:

We make armor for women quite often, though we can not say that it's a very simple task. Not every armor can be adapted to the female figure. We recommend you to contact us before ordering at contact@armstreet.com and specify all the details. Please provide your measurements and specify, which pieces you'd like to order.

  • lawrence 09 of March 2015:

    ArmStreet team:

Yes, the armor is absolutely functional and suitable for tournaments. It's intended for full contact reenactment fighting.

  • Davis 20 of February 2015:

Was interested in buying a full armor set, I like most of this one, but I wanted to know, Can the etchings of the Paladin suit be put on say the grieves/gauntlets of any other armor suit?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Davis, yes it is possible. Kindly precise which armor you like and send all the requirements to our support team for further assistance.

  • aase svendsen 04 of January 2015:

I would like to order this, but is it possible to get the gorget with the neck protection instead of the one without, and what would the extra price be. Also I will be using the armour horseback riding ( jousting shows ) so is it possible to take some of the metal off at the back of the upper legs and also reverse the buckles so it will be at the outside of the leg. ( you cannot sit on the armour in the saddle :-) Hope you understand the problem - it looks so good, so I hope to be able to adjust it to riding. Thank you.

    ArmStreet team:

Gorget with the neck protection costs $69 extra.

Back part of thecuisses consists of two plates (as shown here); the legs can be made 1. without back part of the cuisses at all or 2. without one of the back plates.

Reverse the buckles so it will be at the outside of the leg - no problems, please add this comment to your order.

  • Jessi 03 of October 2014:

I was wondering if you could make this set to fit a woman?

Yes, it is possible. Please contact our support team for details.

  • Tobias 20 of August 2014:

Is it possible to get this unetched? And how would that affect the prize?

    ArmStreet team:

Yes, you'll save $220 approximately, please contact us at contact@armstreet.com for more details.

  • Mike 08 of February 2014:

Is this armor set compatible with the 'Paladin Knight Armor Kit'? For example, if I order this set and want to add the matching cuirass later, will it fit or do the armor parts differ from the full plate set?

    ArmStreet team:

If you're going to order the cuirass, we'd recommend to take gorget with neck protection instead of the gorget from this set.
All other pieces should work together just well.

  • Bill Ford 05 of December 2013:

I was looking at the Paladin stainless etched full medieval knight armor set, whcih states it includes gorget, pauldrons, arms, legs. Does the set also include the matching etched greaves? They are not pictured with the set. Thanks, bill

    ArmStreet team:

Greaves are not included, you can buy them separately or as a part of Full Paladin Leg Armour.
