This is elegant, authentically looking dress based on one of our most popular patterns made of great quality flax linen with handmade embroidery. Sleeves lacing and lacing on the back allows you to adjust its size to match your body shape as precisely as possible.
This dress is made of natural flax linen - authentic, natural fabric with incredible heat-resistance and moisture-absorption properties which lasts for ages. The dress is decorated with handmade embroidery along the neck which enhances the impression of exquisite elegance and accentuates the beauty of the natural color dress.
This dress may be both a central element of your character wardrobe or just a gentle accent of it, which makes it unexpendable part of your LARP, medieval, renaissance fair event costume. The idea of the dress is an idea of the Fairy Tale character with Irish or Wells colors and decor, so this dress will be great for Irish wedding ceremony or fantasy event.
Please note, if the difference between your bust and waist circumferences exceeds 9 13/16 in (25 cm), the dress won't fit tightly.

The back lacing got frayed pretty quickly and snapped the other day when I bent over to put shoes on. But it's easy to replace. The dress itself is perfect.

I ordered this green linen dress with brown laces a few years ago with the made-to-measure option. The color and embroidery are wonderful with the years + sun exposure, the green is still as gorgeous as ever. It's a perfect dress for sunny days, it's very light and comfortable. The dress is beautiful and very well made. I had some slight alterations made because my bust size is 11” larger than my waist circumference, so it was loose around the waist. Since the garment doesn’t have zippers, I’m sure they make the dress this way because that would make it difficult to pull over your chest of the waist is that much smaller. The dress is lovely, and will be perfect for my wedding at the Texas Renaissance Festival.

How can I order the faory tale in a custom size?

Hi Elena, custom size dress cannot be returned, sorry. Yes, the dress will be available in green color, size 0 soon. You may order a custom size dress and we would like to assure you that if the measurements are taken correctly, the dress will fit like on the picture.
I'm a little confused as to what color the embroidery will be done on the green linen. In one response you said it would be done in the same colors, but then in another one you said the green part would be done in a beige color. I'm just concerned if the dress is green, then the green embroidery will blend in and be lost. I'm guessing you don't have any pictures of it in the alternate green dress colors?

Hi Georgette! The lacing color is blue, but can be changed upon request. The embroidery on natural linen dress is green and on the green dress it has beige/natural color. The same quality linen is used for this dress, Secret Garden, Red Elise and Archeress dress.
I am interested in wearing this dress to a handfasting...i will be 8 months pregnant, do you know if the dress would stretch to fit over a bump? Thank you
Hi Athena, it is a fitted dress made of linen that does not stretch, unfortunately. Please consider Forest Princess dress instead.

Hi! Unfortunately, sleeves cannot be altered or removed on this dress. The only available colors for this dress are green, brown and natural linen, sorry. Yes, we can add the trim on the hem and cuffs upon request for extra payment.

The Fairy Tale linen dress - how long is the length from the top of the shoulder to hem?
Hi! We make custom size clothes. The length is adjusted to your height. Pre-made dress is 148-150 cm long.
Is there any particular belt you would recommend to wear with this? Everything I could find had a lot of metal or brass accents, and I'm not sure if it would go with the very natural look of the dress. Thank you!

I have one more question :) In the picture, the lacing on the sleeves is blue, but in the "technical details" description, it says the dress comes with black lacing. Is the blue lacing, like in the picture, something that would need to be specified and ordered custom?
Hi Miri! It actually says "back lacing" nit "black". :) The dress comes with blue lacing by default.

There are some fixed sizes available in stock, they can be sent immediately, regular shipping takes 16-21 days, express shipping takes 5-8 days approx.
If you need a custom sized dress, it will take us 18-24 days to manufacture it. Shipping frames are the same.
Hello, I wish to ask how long the sleeves are, and whether the sleeves can be made longer or shorter?
The sleeves are long enough, when your arm is aligned they should cover about a half of your hand. That should be possible to make the sleeves slightly shorter, but we cannot make them 3 quarters length or half length due to technical reasons.

At the moment we cannot provide any accurate info if the dress will be back in stock in green in size 0, sorry. Manufacturing of this dress takes certain time and effort as it has handmade embroidery, and to date we don`t have enough time to restock the dress in all sizes, we`ll do it once we have a chance.

Manufacturing of custom size dress takes 18-24 days approximately. Shipping normally takes 16-21 days. If you order the dresses now, they should be delivered by September 26 approximately. For faster and more certain delivery we can also offer UPS express mail. Please note, the dress is available in stock in size 0, 2 and 4.

At the moment the dress is available in custom size only as the manufacturing takes quite long time as it has handmade embroidery. Now we have time only to manufacture the dresses in time, unfortunately we can`t make them for stock. Maybe later it will be possible, stay tuned!

We are very sorry, but it doesn't seem to be possible to make and send the dress in only 2 weeks. We could rush it to 21 days, and we could offer you UPS express mail which takes up to 5 business days for some extra. Please let us know what's your take on this.
