“Fairy Tale” Woolen Mittens

Mittens are a must-have accessory for cooler seasons. They are a fantastic way to make your costume look complete and add layers, whilst also serving a functional purpose. These mittens not only cover a large portion of your hands, they also cover a decent amount of your wrist and arm to give a little bit of extra warmth on chilly nights.

Made from natural wool, they are cozy and comfortable. The wool is light and not at all scratchy, and feels lovely next to your skin. The mittens cover your hand with a gap for your fingers, and have a hole for your thumb, too. This means that you retain use of your fingers and dexterity while keeping your hands toasty, which is very useful when you’re trying to read a book, build a fire or do other activities that require the use of your hands.

Lacing on the inner sides of the glove allow you to get them as close-fitting to your wrists as possible, making them fit snuggly against whatever costume you are wearing underneath. The eyelets for the lacing are hand sewn and blend in perfectly with the wool, and exist purely for the reason of making sure the holes retain their structural integrity and don’t fray.

A beautiful stitch runs along the top of the gloves near your fingers, as well as along the opposite hem. It adds a little bit of contrast and visual interest to the mittens without being overly busy. A gorgeous little flower is embroidered on the back of your hand, which matches the other embroidery from our “Fairy Tale” collection. The flower looks perfect next to the snaking blooms of the rest of the collection!
