Our new Viking collection is here just in time for the winter! Gone are the days of shivering around camp - with our new coats, cloaks, and accessories, you’ll be able to enjoy sitting down without having to get dangerously close to the fire. Crafted from high-quality wool and embellished with gorgeous embroidery and other ArmStreet-exclusive details, you’re going to love our clothing even more than before.

This cloak is a new take on our popular Viking blanket cloak. Instead of just being a big rectangle for you to put a clasp on, this one is made of four panels which allow for a slightly more ergonomic shape. This cloak is knee-length and comes in one size so you may find it’s a little bit shorter or longer depending on your height. The design of the neck hole ensures that it sits nicely across your chest and shoulders, and the addition of little cast brass clasps allows you to close it without wrestling a chunky fibula. In order to protect your neck from the wool, we’ve added a strip of linen around the neck hole to prevent rubbing, with a line of wool cord over the seam to make it look nice and finished.

Other than the excellent design of this new cloak, we know that you’re going to be very impressed by the embroidered embellishments we’ve added. This immaculate embroidery may look like it’s been applied by machine because of how perfect it is, but we assure you that this kind of quality can only be achieved by hand! Each and every decorative stitch is applied by one of our embroidery masters, who spend their days at ArmStreet perfecting our ornate designs. Along the whole edge of the cloak, you’ll notice two-toned herringbone embroidery, which is a common pattern found on Viking clothing.

The pièce de résistance is the incredibly impressive wolf embroidery in the corner, which uses contrasting colors to really make it stand out. This embroidery is meticulously finished and still looks neat from the back - which anyone who’s dabbled in embroidery knows is quite the feat! This wolf design is inspired by Viking knotwork and motifs and was created by our artistic team specifically for this collection. Every aspect of this garment is ArmStreet exclusive - from the design down to the brass clasps that hold it shut, which were made in our jewelry workshop.
