Any intelligent knight will know that while a sword is the ideal weapon, having a dagger close at hand is always a smart idea. With all the beauty of our “Kingmaker Collection”, this no ordinary dagger. Carefully crafted with our legendary attention to detail, this dagger is luxuriously embellished for a knight with fine taste. Based on daggers from the XIV-XV century, we’ve taken inspiration from historical rondel dagger designs, while also still managing to make it our own.
Strong and durable, stainless steel is the ideal material for decorative weapons – this is what our smiths forged the blade from, meaning it’s rust resistant and much more likely to stay shiny and clean. The lightness in your hand with this dagger is due to the hollow construction; while we made it to be robust and durable, it is still intended to be purely decorative and not used as an actual weapon. We finished the blade off with a flourish of beautiful etching that covers the first 1/3 of the blade up from the hilt, giving it a bit of a fancy finish whilst not being too much visually. The oval shaped handle is beautiful and feels perfect in your hand. Wrapped in comfortable leather thonging, it’s easy to grip as well as aesthetically pleasing.
We’re well aware that it’s rude to simply walk around with your dagger blade visible for all to see, so we also designed a stunning scabbard that fits the dagger like a glove. Crafted from natural leather with a stainless steel core, this scabbard remains rigid even when your dagger is drawn, and makes a very satisfying noise when the dagger is removed. The top of the scabbard is decorated with an embossed piece of contrasting leather, and attaches to your belt via a twisted brass hook and leather frog which can be attached to any belt to a width of 3cm (1 1/8"). If you need us to make it to a different width, please leave a comment with your order and we can make it to fit other belts as well. This means that it can be attached to any belt you’d like!
