The life of ancient warrior was full of mystery and spiritual influence. Good and evil Gods, their children and chosen heroes, friendly and envious spirits and mysterious creatures – folks of Old Norse had lived surrounded by unpredictable danger and unexpected help.
Necklaces, arm rings, decorated weapon and armour, clothing embroidery and shield decorations - all these things were made to attract good Gods and Spirits and deter or divert evil ones. The handmade brass neck chain with ancient casting pendant is one of this style. The chain is made following traditional Viking plaiting and the pendant with “Griffins” pattern on it is based on Gnezdovo findings dated circa X-XIII century.
