"Hilda the Haughty" Viking dress
Warm woolen tunic with trim and accents
In the saga of Hilda the Haughty, the tale of a fearless Viking maiden unfolds. Like the northern seas, her heart yearned for adventure, echoing the valorous exploits of her forebears. And this winter tunic crafted from fine wool, renowned for its resilience, fits Hilda's restless spirit. It defies the relentless North.
The design refers to the Kragelund discovery, preserving the classic T-tunic silhouette. Notable are the sleeves with spacious gussets beneath the arms, allowing uninhibited movement and narrowing toward the wrists. Inserts at the wide ankle-length skirt afford comfort and freedom.
The true enchantment lies in wool fabric attuned to diverse climates. It breathes in warmth, resists moisture, and insulates against the cold. In reverence to Viking embellishments, "Hilda the Haughty" showcases intricate trims. These ward off evil forces, fortify seams and enrich aesthetics. Inspired by knotwork and artistry, these Viking trims grace the neckline, adorn sleeves and embellish the lower hem – a symphony of craftsmanship and heritage.
In "Hilda the Haughty," we celebrate the legacy of a fearless shieldmaiden and her enduring spirit. It's a tribute to the Viking ethos, where courage meets craftsmanship, and tradition melds with innovation.

norah 26 of December 2023:
I have a question: Hilda the Haughty has trim at the bottom of the skirt and inserts at the ankle - can you show me a picture of the inserts? Hilda the Epic has a linen border at the base of the skirt. Are those the only differences?
ArmStreet Team:Hello, the inserts can be seen on the pictures. They simply make the skirt wider. The Hilda dress has linen trim along the bottom of the skirt as well as Hilda the Epic dress, but narrow.

In your collection of wool dresses, which one is the warmest?
Hello, they are all approximately the same. They are pretty warm even for the winer time.
Is there any difference in the shape/design between the "Hilda the Haughty", "Hilda the Proud", "Astrid the Wolfspeaker" and “Girda the Snowdancer” dresses? Based on the photos, the main difference seems to be in the trims and accents, otherwise they look pretty much the same. Are the wool materials in "Hilda the Haughty" thicker than the red cinnamonic, moss green and aquamarine wools used in "Astrid" & "Girda"?
Hello, the difference is in the materials and desing. Plus, some of this dresses are from Limited collection so once the fabric is sold out, they won't be available for purchase anymore.
