"Hilda the Haughty" Viking Cloak
Woolen broadcloth cloak with embroidery
Hilda the Haughty is a strong and clever Viking leader. She's known for making smart political decisions and is respected as a proud and honored leader among her people. Hilda's determination and intelligence have made her a vital member of her Viking community, always striving to help her people succeed.
Our shieldmaidens-inspired cloak draws from Viking heritage, offering versatility as a wrap, cape, or draped attire for unrestricted movement. You can wear it with your favorite clasp or even without any. This cloak is more than a mere garment; it's a practical, multipurpose companion – a blanket, a cushion, or a picnic rug. Crafted from robust wool broadcloth, it's water-resistant and made from natural materials.
The intricate handmade embroidery, inspired by Viking knotwork, showcases a dragon meticulously created with red linen thread. The runes along the dragon's body say ᛅᛁᚾᛁᛦ ᛋᛏᛅᚱᚴᚢ ᛘᚢᚾᚢ ᛋᛏᛅᚾᛏᛅ ᛅᛒᛏᛁᚱ ("Only the strong will remain standing" in Younger Futhark). The herringbone hand stitching frames the cloak in shades of red and beige.
The cloak crafted from coarse yet warm and breathable fabric guarantees comfort in various conditions. While it may not withstand waterfalls, it will keep you dry in drizzles.
Please note that the fibula is not included with the cloak.
