You cannot deny the importance of shoes. They protect our feet, provide us with the ability to walk over all sorts of different terrain, correct our posture and keep us comfortable. Though they are so important to us in everyday life, it is easy to overlook them when it comes to costume, possibly because medieval shoes are notoriously uncomfortable. Here at ArmStreet, we would like to offer you an alternative: medieval shoes that look amazing, but also feel comfortable and fantastic.
These shoes have been constructed from robust leather, which is structured yet supple, making it perfect for footwear. If taken care of well, they will weather beautifully and develop well with age. With time, it will mold to the shape of your foot and provide you with the perfect fit. Around the top of the boot, you will find decorative Viking knotwork embossing, which gives it a border and creates a nice dividing line between your legs and your footwear. It looks neat and refined, but also gives the boot a little something more over most historical shoes. The shoe is finished with a contrasting embossed strap which closes with a brass buckle, which helps holds the shoe shut and also divides it up visually. They are entirely lined with leather and are well finished.
We choose to do medieval shoes in a slightly different way than a lot of companies. We use modern shoe lasts and other modern twists in the construction process in order to create something that looks medieval but has a few modern comforts. The sole consists of multiple layers in order to make it robust and comfortable, including a leather insole, leather fibreboard, a porous breathable orthopedic base, and ribbed rubber outsole. This means that they provide you with a bit more support than medieval shoes, and are also less slippery – a problem than many medieval shoe wearers know all too well. If you were hoping for a historical sole on these shoes, unfortunately, we cannot offer this, but we do have a large range of other medieval shoes available.
Important note about measurements:
Please be accurate taking measurements – that influences very much at our ability to make the item that will suit you perfectly. Also, you should remember that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that it fits very slim. It will get your feet shape after one or two days of usage.

Lotte 12 of May 2020:The boots are very pretty! I bought them in the middle of winter and so combined with my thick woolen socks they fit ferfectly. However, I wore them in spring with a lighter pair of socks and they hurt my feet. Probably because they were to loose and kept shifting place. But in winter they are perfect.
