When designing a costume, it is easy to overlook shoes. Footwear not only affects how we look but also how we stand and how we project ourselves. Many people tend to forget this! This is why we have endeavored to create shoes that fit into the medieval look easily but also fulfill your needs in the way of comfort.
Made from sturdy yet supple leather, these boots have a lovely texture to them that will weather well with age if they are taken care of. The leather takes to embossing incredibly well, forming deep patterns that will stay pressed in. We have embossed a knotwork wolf into these shoes, which starts at the top of the boot and curves down towards your foot, which has a beautiful, natural flow to it.
One of the defining factors of this footwear is the leather straps. They help to tighten the shoe and keep it closed, but also look fantastic. The strap is embossed with Viking knotwork, and closes with a beautiful cast brass buckle, which almost appears to be an ornament. These shoes are also lined with leather, and every aspect of them is well finished and professionally crafted.
When it comes to how these shoes are made, they are not constructed quite in the same way as a modern shoe (and thus will require a little bit of extra care), but we have made the shoe with a modern women’s shoe last, meaning it should fit comfortably. We have used many layers to make this is the ultimate shoe: a leather insole, leather fiberboard, a porous breathable orthopedic base, and ribbed rubber outsole. If you aren’t happy with how modern they look, unfortunately, we cannot add a medieval sole to these shoes. There are many other more historically accurate models of shoes available, however, in our store.
Please be accurate taking measurements – that influences very much at our ability to make the item that will suit you perfectly. Also, you should remember that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that it fits very slim. It will get your feet shape after one or two days of usage.

Thank you for understanding.

Fits a bit tight but looks beautiful! I only wish they showed more under my dress.
I absolutely love these shoes. The leather is stiff and high quality, and the embossed wolf is gorgeous! For those thinking of getting these shoes, they are well made and comfortable. I expect them to last me a long time! The size runs a little small. I am a US 9.5 (EU 42) and I ordered a size 10. I'm going to give it time for the leather to stretch, but it is a little tight. I could have sized up and it would have been even better. The back of the shoe is a little high; it digs into my leg just slightly, but only in certain positions. I wanted to get a shoe I could wear in summer and not be too hot in. The inside is smooth leather, not suede, and it feels just right. I don't expect any heat issues with these shoes!
These shoes are super pretty, real craftsmanship ! And I love it so much that they are made to size. They fit like a glove.
Easily the prettiest shoes I’ve worn, altho a little uncomfy
