Have we ever mentioned how much we love Eastern-style armor? I’m sure we have. Being an Eastern-European company, we take great pride in our cultural heritage and have a real fascination with the history and aesthetic design of armor and clothing from our neighboring countries. The Polish Hussars have always been a subject of particular interest for us - their brutal fighting style and use of visual intimidation are fascinating. Some even wore wooden frames strapped to their back with feathers, which looked like huge wings, which would have looked absolutely amazing on a battlefield! This inspired us to create this collection.
When we create armor, the most important base aspect of anything is flexibility and functionality. We don’t want to create anything entirely useless that can’t be used. With this set, we also wanted to make it visually opulent, giving your enemies lots to look at as you cut them down.
This gorget is incredibly simple (by ArmStreet standards) at first glance, but really proves itself an amazing piece when you start looking at the details. Constructed from 1.5mm stainless steel, we have left the steel unetched or adorned, instead of letting it shine beautifully in its simplicity. Stainless steel is very strong, but is also resistant to rust, making it perfect for a piece so close to your neck and chest. Around the edges, you’ll find 1mm brass trim, which has been etched and blackened to have a simple but impactful geometric design. This trim is then used again on the neck, which both looks fantastic but also additionally reinforces the steel. Another brass accent is featured right in the middle of the gorget. The part that stands out the most on the piece is the red leather scalloped trim along the neck - it brings a pop of color that contrasts with the brass and adds a touch of thoughtful texture.
Solid rivets have been used in all construction, which is strong and will hold the piece together. There is a hinge-type mechanism on one side and a push-pin system on the other. This means that the whole thing can open and close for putting it on, but also stay very secure when you are fighting. We take pride in this piece using premium materials and featuring fine finishes, and hope that you love it as well.

Would this gorget be uncomfortable to wear without the leather lining?
We can make it without leather accents. It should be fine since it should be worn over some padding anyway.
