Articulated stainless steel foot protection with brass finishing
No outfit is complete without a fantastic footwear, and our Kingmaker Collection is no different.
These sabatons were crafted with flexibility in mind, allowing the wearer to move, lunge and keep their dexterity in the heat of battle. Custom made, we can create them to fit over your favorite pair of shoes, you just have to supply your measurements!
The heel portion of the sabaton is made from 1.5mm stainless steel and is held together by a hinge on one side and a sturdy leather strap with a period-appropriate cast brass buckle on the other. The overlapping plates that create the beautifully articulated bend are all 1mm thick to allow for better movement, and these sabatons come to a handsome point at the tip. An additional plate has been added at the front of the ankle to provide a little bit of extra protection.
Made to match the rest of the Kingmaker set, these stainless steel sabatons are accented with a ridge of roping along the top, as well as an intricate strip of brass trim. Solid brass rivets hold together the overlapping plates, which look like a decoration in themselves!
Please note that these sabatons do not include the shoe underneath, just the armored overshoe. Feel free to check out our range of under-armor shoes, though - the one in the picture is our Medieval Ankle Boot.

Perfect sabatons! They fit perfectly and they feel about as light as my phone, that is, they feel almost weightless. Super comfortable to wear and they don't restrict my mobility at all. When I wear them I don't even notice that they're there. Armstreet also used buckles and straps that match the rest of my King's Guard armour, which is a nice touch. I love these things. No more being poked in the toes by a poleaxe.

Really interested in these do you have a picture of the parts of the foot you would like to be measured? Just for clear measurements .
Dear Taylor, please check our guide how to take the foot measurements here. Please measure your foot wearing the boots that will be used with sabatons.
Is it possible to have this beautiful piece unpolished and treated with the chemicals that create the black effect, I'm extremely interested in your wayward knight set, but I don't want to be poked in the toes, you know? :) Thank you for answering my question.
Hi Damien, yes the sabatons can be blackened which costs 20% extra. Kindly note that they will be made in mild steel in this case.
