“The Kingmaker” Leg Harness

We’ve taken inspiration from the mid-15th-centruy to create a collection worthy of the noblest of knight, and this leg harness is no exception!
Crafted with vibrantly dyed veg-tanned leather, no expense has been spared in making this the ultimate leg harness. Unique 1mm stainless steel splints adorn the leather, attached with brass rivets so beautiful they almost just seem to be part of the visual design instead of structural! All of the rivets along the leather are peened over onto washer on the back to make sure they’ll be durable in combat. The cuisses come riveted to the articulated knee, which is made from 1.5mm stainless steel. Ornate roping lines the edges of the knee, along with a laser cut brass for added sophistication, and a circular fan provides a little bit of extra coverage for the tender back-of-the-knee area.
If you’re concerned about ease of movement, worry no more. The knee piece is beautifully articulated, allowing for the wearer to lunge, jump and move without unnecessary restraint. Polished stainless steel also means easy maintenance – despite looking better than your current mild steel gear, it’ll actually be less work to keep them looking tidy. This harness includes sturdy leather straps with period appropriate cast brass buckles. While this listing only includes the cuisse and articulated knee plate, you can also complete your leg armor with our Kingmaker Greaves, which are anatomically shaped to provide full wrap protection of your lower leg, or our Kingmaker Sabatons, which can be made to measure to fit over any pair of medieval shoes.
