This underarmor jack is ideal for fighters who don't like bulky jackets and want to have something between their armor and body at same time. Authentic stitching shape is very ergonomic, gambeson has only one natural batting layer, so it's pretty thin.
External layer is made of natural flax linen, lining is made of natural linen too. This gambeson also can be used as a warm jacket, since it looks really good.

Excellent fit, especially since I ordered it with armor..moves well and flexes somewhat..its better than what's commercially available "off the rack" from other suppliers, and still doesn't make you feel inflexible after you put armor on. Thanks!

I recently bought this gambeson. Wore it for the first time last weekend. It was warm, but not uncomfortably so. The fabric weave is open so it can breathe a little easier. Sewing on arming points wasn't too difficult. The buttons on the cuff did not transfer shock when testing out other worn armor. I received many compliments about the look.

This is an excellent gambeson, I just got my green and yellow coat in the mail today. The colors are excellent, not too bright or too dull, and the linen fabric looks extremely authentic to the period. It fits my body like a glove but leaves enough room in the places that matter most like the hips, shoulders, and armpits. I can raise my hands all the way up, put one arm over the other, and can bend forward at the hips. The buttons are amazing quality, they've got decorative embellishments that almost look Arab or Turkish, definitely Eastern European in style. Another small but great detail is the gap in the front of the collar, it helps your neck feel less hot and gives your chin space so you can look down. I would highly recommend this item, it's easily the highest quality item I've ever got from Armstreet.

The gambeson in the pictures don't seem to be as tight fitting as they could be. If we were to order a gambison with our specific measurements, would it be more tight fitting than it looks like in the pictures? Also, if we wear pants up to the waist with a belt underneath the gambeson, should we measure our waist with the tape measure over or under the belt? Thank you.
Dear Harley, yes we can make the gambeson tight fitting upon request. Please simply leave this request in the comment to your order. Please take the measurements over the clothes that will be worn under the gambeson. Kindly note that linen does not stretch and tight fit might be uncomfortable.
Is it possible to get steel / silver colored buttons instead of the brass/bronze color shown?

For the Kings Guard set you`ll need a few pairs of arming points on the gambeson sleeves and shoulders, we can make them for $20.00 extra. You can place an order via our website, please mention in the comments to the order that you need the arming point for the Kings Guard set.
Greetings! I do not see arming points in the gambesons, are these an addition or something that I can add in myself without risk of damaging the gambeson? Thank you, Becky
Basically all our gambesons come without the arming points, it is assumed that it's more convenient to sew the laces by yourself, after you've already tried on your armor over the gambeson.
We can add the arming points for $5-15 extra, depending on how many points you need, simply add a comment to your order. We'll send a PayPal invoice for the extra charge to your email (it can be paid with a credit card, PayPal account is not needed).
Would it be possible to get the lining in flax/linen as well? What is the batting made of?
To date comes with flax linen lining by default. Padding is made of organic cotton-based batting.
Hi, I am female and interested in ordering this gambeson to fight in HEMA events. I want it to be long enough to cover my hips, have a front zip closure, be padded enough for fighting and at the same time give the mobility that I need. I have many measurments, and I am not sure how to order this. Can it be done? How long will it take? How much does it cost? How do I go about ordering this gambeson with my specific measurements and requirements?

We do not use modern fasteners, such as zip closure, sorry.
For combat use, we recommend ordering 2 layers of batting. Just add a comment to your order, we'll send an invoice for the extra charge to your PayPal email.
Can you make this half Yellow and Half green?
Yes, simply tick the appropriate colors in the order form.
