Cuirass “Prince of the East”
Eastern style breastplate and backplate
This cuirass is a part of our “Prince of the East” kit. It's design is based on Middle East armor, XVI-XVII century style. You can see similar kits in Tower, London and Kremlin Armory collections. Every piece of this cuirass is made with love. 16 ga stainless steel looks perfect with etched patterns on it, brass trimming and brass and casting clasp. Upper straps decorated and protected with tiny stainless steel plates. Despite very simple shape this cuirass allows great movements flexibility. Great looking, functionally perfect and unusual armor.
Mild (cold-rolled) steel version available upon request for reenactment maniacs, though stainless steel is recommended as etched armor maintenance isn't an easy thing

Can custom etching be ordered, say a skull or aquila if the design was sent to you?
Hi Rasputin, yes it is possible. Please contact our support team with the pictures of the design so we could calculate the price for you.
Just a quick question about the armor. I am a woman, but I find this type of armor really cool. I saw that the armor requires specific measurements so I was wondering if the armor could work for women also.
Hi Erica, yes it should be possible. Please send us your measurements so we could confirm them with our production team.
Hi guys! I'm interested in a buhurt armor. Just wanted to ask if it's possible to keep the design, but take out all the fancy details? =) Will it also lower the price if it will be made of mild steel, without brass trimming, without etching and cast buckles? Thanks!
We recommend to pay attention to the Combat Western Armor Kit. As for the “Prince of the East” kit - you'll save 15% on etching, but mild steel armor w/ steel details will cost the same as stainless armor w/ brass.
Do you do your own manufacturing?
Yes, we are the manufacturers of all the products presented on the site, we do not resale.

Hi! I'm a girl (155cm or 5'2) and was wondering if the chest piece for the Eastern style "Prince of the East" cuirass breastplate and backplate would fit me ok to use it. I'm not so big on the chest (32B), so do you think I would be able to use it alright? Is it a full functional armour? (I fight with steel longswords) Please let me know what you think. Many thanks, Sophia Staubli
All our armor is fully functional.
The cuirass is made-to-measure, it can be made for a women.
