This beautiful neck protection was created with historical inspiration. Like the rest of the Dark Star collection, it was loosely based on armor examples from the XV century, with a little bit of the usual ArmStreet creative liberty. The Dark Star collection is our new flagship female armor collection, expertly made to measure to suit the female figure – though this standard is unisex. The whole collection is blackened, sleek, and gives a mysterious, dangerous aesthetic to the wearer that makes it utterly irresistible.

This blackened standard is made from mild steel, with a decorative scalloped edge along the top to protect your neck from rubbing on the mail. This scalloped edge also gives it a beautiful finished look, making it just a little bit fancier than the average chainmail standard. The leather is supple and soft yet still rigid and strong, so it holds its own next to the steel. The standard closes at the back with a cast brass medieval buckle.

The blackened tone of the chain gives it a wonderfully brutal look, standing out much more compared to just regular mild steel. The riveted aspect makes it stronger than butted mail, and it also gives it a more interesting texture which also happens to be more historical. The inside is lined with linen to make it more comfortable against your neck.

PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour.
