It is difficult to be a Viking warrior in modern times. Raids are frowned upon, pirates are outlawed, and trial by combat isn’t seen as a reasonable solution to problems. Though you may imagine yourself sailing across the ocean on your terrifying Viking longship, claiming land, feasting, and earning your place in Valhalla on the battlefield… day to day, it’s just not a sustainable way of life anymore. That’s why we made this pendant – it’s an easy way to spice up a costume or bring a little bit of Viking style into your everyday life.

This pendant is made from laser-cut brass and is suspended on a piece of thonging. The design appears artistic and stylized, but overall it represents a Drakkar longship. The Drakkar ships were a piece of myth found in the sagas, and have been elaborately described and painted, but never found by archeologists! They are a little bit different from regular longships in that the prow of the boat was usually ornately carved to represent a terrifying beast. This would ward off sea monsters during long voyages, and terrifying enemies.

Think of this necklace as your own personal Drakkar. Bring it with you on your Viking adventures and costumed events, or wear it to work as a statement piece. It will ward off bad luck, the horrors of everyday life, and hopefully, the monsters you encounter. It will act as your own talisman of protection. If nothing else, it will bring you joy, as you can walk around bringing a bit of your Viking spirit with you wherever you may go.
