Viking Brooch Clasp “Eydis”

Brass cloak pin clasp fibula

We made this beautiful brass clasp as a part of your “Shieldmaiden” collection. Cloak clasps were the important part of Viking's outfits as their cloaks (as well as many others pieces of ancient wardrobe) were pretty simple and fibula was an only way to make a cloak out of woolen blanket or fur.

This fibula looks very elegant with сutwork “Wolves” pattern and will be a great part of your ancient wardrobe

  • Stephen 07 of June 2019:

I ordered three of these. Great that they now come in a silver color. The pin portion I felt was short on two of them and long enough on the third. I may want to exchange the two short pins for longer ones if it be becomes a problem.

    ArmStreet Team:

Dear Stephen, we are sorry to hear about the issue. A product can be exchanged within 3 days after the order is received and while the products is not used. Kindly contact our support team with the pictures asap so we could exchange the clasps.

  • Margie 31 of December 2018:

This is beautiful but I would be a little concerned the 'pin' is rather thick which would eventually damage the cloth of the cloak. How would you avoid this on a wool cloak if you wear it as an everyday garment instead of a coat in the winter? Thanks for your help, Have a wonderful New Year, Margie

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Margie! Unfortunately, there is not way to avoid fabric damage if you wear the pin on the cloak, sorry.

  • Russell 25 of June 2018:

What cost non-express post to Australia

Hi Russell! It is $12 (USD)

  • Alec 11 of April 2018:

would this work for the Ingrid apron?

    ArmStreet Team:

Hi Alec! Yes, of course, but you will need a pair of these.

  • Bríghid 24 of August 2016:

Is this brooch truly available in Stainless Steel?

    ArmStreet team:

Yes, sure, the brooch is available in stainless steel, but needs to be manufactured. Just choose the custom size tab and then choose the material.

Is this strictly a female's cloak pin or is it not historically accurate for a mans cloak ?

    ArmStreet Team:

    It is a unisex clasp.
