The embossing motif wased patterneated exclusively for ArmStreet after profound research of the historical sources of Viking knotwork. This Vikings inspired ornament can be found on various items in our Shieldmaiden collection. Decorating clothing, accessories, weapons and armour with knotwork and other motifs was believed to give extra protection from evil spirits. And we are happy to take the opportunity to use those everywhere from head to toe: take a closer look at the wrapping belts of the footwear or the bands of the leather armour.
