Out of stormy and dark reality comes a treasure for those who appreciate Old Norse and Jol motifs. Same as the nowadays life of an average Ukrainian, it features good, evil, light, darkness, brave warrior and an insidious enemy that is soon to be defeated.
Like many other ancient people, Vikings gave sacral importance to the decorations of their clothes. Embroidery is definitely a popular way to add extra spiritual protection to the garment both for ancient Vikings and modern Ukrainians - the War tremendously increased the popularity of traditional embroidered shirts called “vyshyvanka”. There even appeared a new trend of tactical vyshyvankas for our warriors.
The limited edition t-shirt is embroidered in Ukraine during the War by our chief embroideress and we expect every one of those 50 unique items to carry the combined strength and spirit of both Vikings and Ukrainians. Every ring of the brave blue-and-yellow warrior’s chainmail, every rune of the message – we value every tiny stitch of this handmade masterpiece.
We’ve chosen mouline thread over our regular linen thread option for smoother stitches appearance and for the safety of the fabric of the t-shirt. So we expect this gem would be a proud member of your t-shirt collection for ages. Delicate hand washing and lay flat drying would definitely contribute.
