“Found Princess” Bodice

Elegant period women's velvet bodice

The bodice is a very special and elegant part of any period or fantasy costume. It provides unusual and breathtaking opportunity to unite authentic look with focus on the beauty of body curves. In contrast to a corset, a bodice has no bones inside so you'll be able to breathe and move freely but as well as a corset it folds breast and outlines your waistline. The velvet is reinforced with haircloth - a special fabric which prevents the deformation of the vest.

The low collar aristocratically opens the neck and the V-shaped front lacing allows to control bodice tightness. Coquettish quilted “wings” sleeves and tassets with half-round scallops are attributed to Baroque costume. Bodice is made of high quality Italian velvet and can be used with both original “Lost Princess” or “Found Princess” dress as well as with any other slim-fit period dress.

Real dimensions of the bodice “Found Princess”:

Hi, Is this dress historically accurate? Is it medieval or later? Thanks

    ArmStreet team answered :

The dress is not historically accurate as we are not re-enactors,  but it refers to Baroque costumes and is our interpretation of a classical "Princess` dress". We tried to combine comfortable and reliable materials with noble Princess look and in our opinion we did quite good :)

I am unable to tell on my screen, but is the bodice in the picture brown, or a dark purple?

    ArmStreet team answered :

The bodice on the photos is made of Burgundy velvet.

  • Rachel 06 of February 2016:

Hi. I am wondering if this bodice would go alright with the archeress dress. Many thanks.

    ArmStreet team answered :

Technically it will work, but this corset has more elegant look because of the natural velvet. The Archeress dress is closer to the rustic and country styles because of its ethnic trim and short sleeves, we'd recommend to complement it with the suede bodice.

Love the crown in the photos, but I'm not able to find it on the site. Will it be available for sale?

    ArmStreet team answered :
