“Lost Princess” Bodice
Fantasy natural velvet vest bodice
This elegant piece has an inimitable charm effused to any attire it is worn with. Moderate noble play of colours of high quality Italian velvet is in attractive contrast to the dull mat fabric of the dress. A bodice unlike a corset has no boning hence lets the bearer breath and move freely. However velvet is reinforced by special fabric - haircloth - which keeps fit and prevent the deformation due to tight lacing.
The bodice emphasizes waistline and tenderly folds breast - upbearing and focusing on your curves. Low stand up collar and elaborate design of the ornately shaped yoke fetch out princess aristocratical bearing. V-shaped fore lacing allows easy aidless adjustment of the tightness. Coquettish quilted “wings” sleeves and tassets with half-round scallops contribute to matchless fascination of the unisex Baroque costume.

- size 2 — Under bust 311⁄2in (80 cm), waist 281⁄3in (72 cm);

- size 6 — Under bust 34 2⁄3in (88 cm), waist 34in (86 cm);
- size 8 — Under bust 36 1⁄5in (92 cm), waist 351⁄2in (90 cm);
- size 10 — Under bust 38in (96 cm), waist 371⁄3in (95 cm);
- size 12 — Under bust 393⁄8in (100 cm), waist 393⁄8in (100 cm).
Please pay attention that provided are the real dimensions of the bodice and not your measurements. Please, choose the size of the corsage in accordance to your under bust and waist measurements. If you have borderline measurements, choose the size according to desired fit - chose smaller size for slim fit or bigger size for loose fit.

I purchased this bodice in green to match my green "princess in exile" gown. I was hesitant at first to put green on green, but after putting them on together I'm glad I did. The velvet bodice is a rich, dark green and so it stands out nicely against the dress and gives an overall smooth, shapely silhouette. I have a 29" waist and purchased a size 2 (mind you I had a feeling 2 would be snug, but I'm in the process of losing weight so I went for it) and it is pretty snug, you can see from the picture I can't quite lace it up very tight, but that is what I expected so I am happy with it. I absolutely cannot wait until my chemise arrives! I love armstreet!

I have very broad shoulders, so I'm a little worried about this fitting across the back. How do sizes 0, 2, and 4 measure across the shoulder blades?
Our designer says that it doesn`t matter how wide the bodice is from shoulder to shoulder if it fits your underbust and waist. The corset has an arm-hole wide enough so it should fit wider shoulders as well.
Is there an option for a custom size? I recently purchased this bodice in a size 12 and it is still too small. I was hoping to order again and send my measurements for a custom fit.
This bodice can be made in fixed size only, sorry. Size 12 is the maximum unfortunately.
If I have an under bust measurement of 97 cm and a waist 92 cm which size would you recommend for that?

So if I understand bodices correctly, in order to get a snug fit and that pretty little lacing gap that the model has, I should order a size smaller than my actual measurements? For example, if I have a 78 cm underbust and 70 cm waist, the size 2 will have a lose fit and there will be no gap in the lacing. However, if I get a size 0 I will have more control over how snugly I tie the bodice, plus have a few cm of gap between the laces. Is this right?
Yes, exactly! We recommend to take size 0 for the slim fit and lacing gap, it should fit you very well.
