Just for such cases, we've re-created this classic medieval men's tunic, a universal outfit for any event with a historical or fantasy vibe.
Designed by the medieval canons and adapted to the common leisure activities, it suits both fighting at SCA tournaments and dancing at the Ren faires. Breathable linen fabric, deep V-neck and short sleeves with cuts make the tunic worthy of a summer season filled with historical events up to the brim. Loose bottom with a vertical front slit for easy walking and short side slits does not fetter movements.
The objective simplicity of the pattern is fully compensated by plenty of color choices and beauty of the finish, as all edges of the tunic are decorated with the exclusive trim. So, the tunic will make a perfect pair to the women's costumes 'Archeress' and 'Sunshine Janet.'
In the Middle Ages, short sleeves of clothes were associated with lots of hand work, same as short hair - with dependency. Therefore, to dress the noble one, supplement the tunic with long sleeved shirt and girdle it with a belt. Finally, regardless of the status, do not forget to get the medieval pants!

Is it possible to order this with an alternative trim? In particular, I am interested in replacing the Archeress trim with the Forest trim from https://armstreet.com/store/medieval-clothing/eastern-europe-medieval-flax-linen-tunic.

Hi Stephen, yes it is possible, but we will need to change the trim for this. We can offer you eirther narrow viking trim shown on the Eric the Scout tunic or narrow Celtic trim.
Is there other variations of color options and trim for this shirt?
Hi Shane, please check Custom Size tab for this tunic. It can be made in any linen color. We can also make it with some other narrow trim upon request.

The tunic can be made with red, brown or blue trim.
We only accept orders for clothes for children taller than 3' 7"/110 cm (full height). To make clothes for younger kids, we would have to remake all the patterns, sorry.
Can this be made with additional slots cut (with accompanied trim) in the mid front and mid back to allow for more freedom of movement.
