Medieval Buckler “Hound Of War”
Combat stainless steel buckler, 15"
When your polearm attack succeeded, and the cavalryman was knocked out of the saddle, the time has come to the close combat! Use one-handed sword paired with this small shield to show the art of sword & buckler fighting.
Solidly built out of stainless steel, it'll stand up for as long as your arm can hold it. This stainless buckler is made of steel 2 mm thick. Sturdy as hell, it has a deep boss to protect the hand, that will withstand plenty hard of use. Measures 38 cm in diameter and weighs about 5 pounds. Decorated with etching designed to resemble 15th centuries ornaments and with rolled edges, that could stand up to years and years of abuse.
Small size allows attaching this buckler onto the belt with a metal loop installed from the inside. Features steel handle covered with jute rope and riveted. While it’s meant to be gripped with one hand in the center, so there’s no strap.
Intended for practice with blunt metal weapons. Recommended to use wearing padded steel mittens or gloves for comfort and safety. Versatility and sturdiness of the bucklers made them very popular among re-enactors and SCAdians.
