Axe Loop “Ragnvaldur the Traveller”

Embossed leather belt frog for a viking axe

A traveller must pick their weapons wisely. Every bit of steel weighs you down, and every useless item one carries could make their travel slower. This is why he chooses the noble axe: an axe is more than just a weapon - it’s a tool to chop wood, build fires and make structures. It’s also easy to carry, with just a simple loop being enough to hold it to a belt!

This little frog is made from quality leather which is thick yet supple. It holds the embossing well, displaying some beautiful knot work along the loop as well as an ArmStreet exclusive wolf knotwork design on the front. It will look excellent with any of our axes with wolves on them, and can be used for any weapon that will fit in the 5cm haft diameter.

To attach this frog you simply have to unbuckle your belt, thread the loop onto it, and position it where you want your axe to hang. Simple as that!

  • Hiroshi 16 of August 2021:

Beautiful craftsmanship for such a simple piece. Held onto my axe nicely with a day of romping through the faire. I felt as though the radius of the hole the haft of the axe goes into could have been smaller but that's personal preference. This really is a great piece and highly recommended.
