“Old Gods” Fantasy Viking Axe

This axe head is broad and is meant to resemble a 10th century single edged viking axe. Of course, we’ve added our own ArmStreet twist to it by designing a beautiful knotwork etching pattern that makes this a striking decorative piece to use in a photoshoot, hang on your wall or just add to your collection. The head is incredibly light as we have made it hollow. Since it is not meant to be used in actual combat, we’ve scaled back most of the weight to make it easier to carry and less dangerous. None of the edges are sharpened, so although it looks fearsome, it won’t be doing any damage as a bladed weapon.

We are very proud of the knot work pattern featured on this axe. Our designer did many hours of research to come up with something that is both simple and striking, as well as featuring a wolf. The end result looks fantastic and includes a wolf along what would be the bladed edge if this were a real axe. Constructed from stainless steel, you get all of the benefits of a beautifully etched weapon without one of the main downsides: rust. While a mild steel item would require quite a bit of care, stainless steel simply requires some basic upkeep to remain nice and shiny.

Please note that this only includes the axe head and does not include the handle. It is up to you how long you make your handle and what kind of wood it comes from. Because of the lightness of the axe head, it can be wielded as a one handed weapon, though it is absolutely large enough to do justice to a two handed axe as well.
