European Cavalry Axe
Decorative stainless steel axe
Although we often imagine a knight carrying a sword, the vast majority of cavalry weapons found from the early to high medieval periods are maces, axes and pikes.
An axe was easier to make and was deadly effective against opponents that wore light armor, and even plate armor could have been damaged, especially if the back mace-like side of the axe head was used.
Cavalry axes were very popular and if you want to have one we are glad to offer you our decorative replica of this beautiful weapon. The axe is made to go well with any medieval period costume. The head of the axe is hollow and is very light, it is made of stainless steel and will remain shiny for a long time. Just give it a wipe with a dry cloth from time to time and it will hold up well!
It also has a special feature: a side pin on the head which allows you to quickly put the axe on your belt or on a horse harness.
The axe comes with handle attached, but you can replace it, if you want a longer or a shorter one.
