“Gudrun the Wolfdottir” Bracers
Short Viking Bracers with Etched Brass
It is best not to get on the bad side of Gudrun the Wolfdottir. Not only is she a kind and fair leader, but also a ruthless warrior. I would much rather face her at a feasting table than I would on the battlefield – like all great rulers, there are two sides to her.
These bracers were designed as part of Gudrun the Wolfdottir character, a new line of Viking items with a feminine edge. We imagine the people who wear these bracers to be fierce, loyal and terrifying to fight. They are based on previous iterations of Viking armor we have created, but have been given a different, brand new etching pattern. As with all of our etching, this is exclusive to ArmStreet and created by our artists after research into Viking art.
These bracers are made from genuine leather and reinforced with brass accents to give them some extra weight. The brass is ornately etched with our new wolves pattern, along with Viking knotwork which really makes them a visual pleasure. The plates are attached with small brass rivets, which add to the overall look. The outside of the bracer is finished with leather thonging, which has been embroidered onto the edge.
The bracers close with the help of two straps, which do up with cast brass Viking buckles. They are short bracers, coming about halfway up your forearm, so they do not encumber you too much or affect your fighting with their bulk. We aimed to make these light, comfortable, but still protective.
Please note, forearm size for these bracers should be taken lower than usual, 6 in (15 cm) above the wrist line.

Very nice bracers that really attract a lot of attention. As a woman, however, I find the leather to be very hard and thick, as a result it looks a bit massive. However, I hope that it will become softer over time so that it fits the arm better.

I have small wrists (measuring 15cm), but medium forearms (measuring 26cm forearm/23cm low). Based on my measurements, I was wondering whether I should choose medium or small for a proper fit?
Hello Krysten, size S should fit well. However, if you are planning on wearing the bracers over some padding then it is better to take the meausrements over the padding.
