It can be very difficult to find female armor that fits well and looks fantastic. The “Morning Star” armor collection is our newest addition to our bestselling lineup of armor specifically designed to fit women, and we know that you’re going to love it! From helmet to greave, every single piece is lightweight, well constructed, and ready to make you feel powerful.

These gauntlets are similar to the hourglass design, which was popular in the late XIV-early XV century. They’re often associated with chivalric knight armor, but we felt that they would fit in with the sleek aesthetic of our slightly fantasy “Morning Star” collection.

The gauntlets slip on just like a glove, and include the inner-glove. The metal protection starts at the wrist with a brushed gold flared cuff, which comes to a gentle point at the middle. From there the gauntlets extend to cover the hand, which includes an articulated plate with sliding rivets followed by an anatomically shaped hand portion. The knuckle plates are brushed in a contrasting golden color, followed by another plate to cover the base of your fingers. These are demi-gauntlets, which means that they do not cover your entire hand and are meant to be worn with gloves to give protection to your fingertips. These are very flexible gauntlets that don’t encumber you much when you’re wielding a sword.

We’re very excited about the material used to construct this set of armor: spring steel. For years we were forced to make armor thicker and heavier in order to keep you safe and protected, but with the addition of this fantastic material, we can now make it 1.2mm thick and still have the same structural integrity. That means that you’re just as armored, with less weight to carry around with you.

These are finely crafted gauntlets that have been designed by our blacksmiths after many passionate years of making gauntlets. We’ve used only high-quality material, from the leather used for the straps at the palm to the solid rivets used to hold them together.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
