Armor Elbows with Round Leaf

Pair of combat elbow couters with rondel

All about elegant simplicity, these mini couters are a mandatory addition to any arm armour according to the SCA and BOTN rules. Historically, elbow cops became a constituent element of transitional and plate armor in early 14th century. These nice average sized elbows can be used for joust, as well as for buhurts.

These were hand hammered into shape out of a single piece of 1.5 mm stainless steel to give it the rigidity you need to use them in cut-and-thrust. Forging cold only, no welding is utilized in their construction. The main cup is quite deep and wraps around the elbow. The edges are flared outward for rigid but comfortable fit. Round rondel riveted from the outside of each elbow cop protects the vulnerable ulnar - the inner side of the elbow joint. Supplied with adjustable leather strap and heavy duty steel buckles for fastening, both riveted to the main cup. Feature a pair of holes punched at the upper and bottom center. The elbows can be used alone fastened to the sleeves, or to complete your arm protection when attached with the arming points. Come as a pair, left and right cops are the subject of this listing.

Hello again. I am about ready to order some more of your well made things. Can these elbow cops be made with an extra articulated lame above and below, to give a little bit more protection coverage to the arm? Can you also use a brass rivet in the center of the round leaf so it matches my steel and brass gauntlets? How much for this extra??? thanks

    ArmStreet team:

Yes, we can add the extra lames and switch to brass rivets, please contact us at contact@armstreet.com to discuss the details.
