Cuirass with Tassets “Evening Star”

Our “Evening Star” collection is a part of our new armor set made especially for the female figure. It is made to protect you from combat without encumbering you or slowing you down, as well as make you feel utterly unstoppable due to its sleek design and striking aesthetic.

This armor is inspired by late XIV-XV century design. Though certain parts of it are certainly fantasy, it’s easy to see where we drew from history: the sleek, fitted design, and especially the smoothly articulated joints as opposed to just putting floating cops or other less technical solutions. We imagine this to be the kind of suit of armor that a wealthier knight would wear, as it certainly looks very noble and isn’t going to be forgotten by your enemies any time soon!

This cuirass provides you with chest, back, and upper leg protection and looks absolutely phenomenal! It starts with a solid plate that protects you down to the bend in your waist, where it gives way to a series of smaller lames that give you a ton of mobility. At the hips, there are leather straps that allow you to attach the tassets, which will bridge the gap between the cuirass and your leg harness.

The best part of the whole Evening Star collection is the material that we’ve used to construct it: spring steel. This type of steel is hardened, and much stronger than regular mild steel, meaning that we can actually make the armor thinner than our other stainless steel collections without compromising on the kind of protection that it offers our customer. The result is something much lighter that is still going to keep you just as safe.

This breastplate is constructed with care from premium materials. You’ll find all kinds of luxurious touches throughout that really make it stand out, such as the leather edging around the neck and arm areas, strong leather straps on the sides and shoulders to help you get a good fit, and optional hooks at the top for you to attach a cape or other accessory. All of the buckles are cast medieval-style buckles, and the rivets are solid.

This breastplate has a blackened finish with “golden” brushed brass accents, which really contrasts nicely.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
