Solid, basic stainless steel gorget with easy closure and articulation

The Errant Squire is the kind of man who spends his free afternoons polishing his armor and practicing his sword drills. He dreams of bigger things, of grand adventures, but his feet are still firmly planted on the ground. He knows his duties, and know that he isn’t really going anywhere unless he puts in the hard work first.

The Errant Squire Collection is intended to be a solid entry level set for anyone looking for a durable, attractive harness. The gorget is made from solid 16ga (1.5mm) stainless steel, and it is much more difficult to dent than mild steel. It’s also significantly more resistant to rust, and will remain shiny and beautiful even after a bit of contact with moisture. Though this is a basic item, we’ve put it together with the same excellent materials and attention to detail that we would a more fancy piece of armor. You’ll find we have used quality leather and solid brass rivets, just as we would for any other set.

This gorget offers throat and neck protection while being a very handsome piece of armor to look at. Leather articulation around the neck ensures that this is the most comfortable gorget we’ve ever made – you can move your head without bumping your chin on the neck piece. We took great care making sure it is comfortable and conforms to the human body. While it looks medieval we have added a small modern convenience – a pin that easily locks and unlocks. One side of the gorget has a hinge, while the other has the locking pin, which you can do up yourself without too much difficulty! This is also reinforced by another pin to make sure it doesn’t come off in the heat of combat. Holes on the side of the gorget means it is easy to point your pauldrons – and it goes perfectly with the Errant Squire Pauldrons.

If you were hoping for a piece of armor that’s a bit more magnificent and extra, we advise looking at our “Paladin Collection”. It uses the same excellent XV inspired design but also has gorgeous, ornate etching to make it much fancier.
