"Ant" Fencing Backpack System 2.0
Updated swords and gear carrying bags set
Let us introduce the laser-cut version of the versatile "Ant" bag system that originates in the crucible of the Ukraine war and is inspired by the marksman backpack. The swordsman carrying modular backpacks inherited the essential attributes of military gear - a universal connection system, durable Oxford6000 fabric, and practical utility. It is designed in collaboration with Bureviy, a Ukrainian company founded by two HEMA fencers with a background in military gear manufacturing.
The "Ant" is a modular system comprising three separate pieces, allowing you to configure it in numerous ways to suit your needs:
"Ant" Sword Bag: available in 145 or 125 cm lengths. In a more compact version, this bag is perfect for shorter weapons like one-handed side or arming swords, shorter rapiers, sabers, etc. The common-length one-handed SCA weapon or plastic trainers also fit this sword bag. The length of a longer version is sufficient to carry rapiers, sabers, and longswords. You can also try your luck trying to fit in a short halberd.
It features a detachable dirt bag.
"Ant" 75L roll top bag: this practical and spacious carry bag easily accommodates your gear, including a mask, gambeson, pants, gauntlets, and more. Its pockets are designed to fit standard arm and shin guards, and its roll-top design ensures that your bag never looks half-empty - simply adjust the top's length to suit your load.
"Ant" backpack straps system: an adaptable system of standard backpack straps and belts that can be connected to the sword bag only, the roll top bag, or both. Combined, it creates a unified, versatile carrying system.
You have various combinations at your disposal:
- The complete unit with backpack straps attached to the sword bag and the roll-top bag.
- Just the sword bag and the duffel bag.
- The sword bag with shoulder straps as a backpack along with the duffel bag.
- Transform the duffel bag into a backpack and carry the sword bag separately.
It is a convenient backpack and sword bag combo when driving or walking. If biking, the fully assembled kit keeps all your gear securely on your back. When you can leave your belongings at home, use the sword bag as a backpack, effortlessly carrying your swords, shoes, T-shirt, and socks. With the "Ant" Sword Bag System, versatility meets practicality, making it an indispensable companion for your adventures.
Please note: the small utility mountable bag "Ant" is not included but can be ordered separately.

marten 12 of October 2024:
the bag fits my mask, jacket, shoes, shins, knees, forearms, elbows, 3x pairs of gloves (light, med, heavy), buckler, and gorget with a little space to spare for a small towel and tape and such. Sword bag has managed 2x longswords, rapier, saber, messer, arming sword, side sword, and dagger all in one go but some swords needed strapped on the outside. whole pack takes a lot of tetris, but Id say the ease of carrying once you've worked that out makes it worth it esp if you don't usually need to take more than a few weapons. gets a bit tough with multiple complex hilts though. I prefer to keep the sword bag separate from the backpack straps.
