“Sport” HEMA fencing gloves
Padded fencing gloves with long cuff
This is the “Sport” version of our new renaissance fencing gloves and you gonna love them. They are designed the same way as our short and medium cuff gloves, but with this long asymmetric cuff, you can use them without bracers at all when and where it is allowed by rules and reasonable by safety considerations.
There is a thin plastic layer inside the cuff, it’s not as protective as plastic bracers but for many applications enough is enough.
As well as our other HEMA-oriented rapier gloves, these gloves have perforation on the wrist and between fingers to keep your hands dry. There are EVA-filled pads on your palm, fingers, and thumb which you can see because of contrasting colors. These are perfect gloves for the small sword, rapier, and many other weapons, from a spear to plastic practice swords. Just make sure your choice is wise as there are many cases when you need more protection for your hand, so be conscious about your safety and follow event or club rules.
At last but not at least, there is a variety of colors and accents colors available and you can find a matching solution for your kit. They also look badass, and a “Heritage” version is available for those who think that “H” is the major letter in “HEMA”.
Black color warning: black suede may leave marks on your hands, it’s getting better with time but if you want to avoid these, just choose a lighter color for the main part of the glove. Stay safe and enjoy fencing.
