In all our years of costuming, we have found that there is one thing for certain: a great pair of boots makes you feel confident and powerful! So, with our new Dark Star collection, we decided to make the ultimate pair of boots, which are comfortable, made from great materials, and are incredibly attractive. There’s no denying the facts here - these boots were may for walking… and running, fighting, sword fighting, stabbing people… you get where we’re going with this.
They will make an excellent addition to any medieval or fantasy costume because they are generic enough to fit a number of different time periods and characters. No matter the situation, they will undoubtedly assist you in walking all over your enemies. The bottom of the shoe is constructed from a modern shoe last and a modern sole, to try and give you comfort that would not have existed in medieval times! There are many layers to this sole, including a leather insole, leather fiberboard, an orthopedic base, and a rubber outer sole.
Made from genuine leather, they are soft and nice to the touch, but also robust so they will hold their structure well. At the back of the boot, you will find countless lacing holes, where you can put your cord through to get the best fit possible. These boots come up to your knee and then flare out slightly to cover the top of your knee and become almost thigh-high. The actual foot part of the shoe is pointed and feminine, giving them a fantastic shape overall.
Though these shoes are built to offer you modern comfort, they are still flat medieval boots and need to be treated with care and respect to ensure they have a long life. We recommend storing them with boot shapers to keep them upright and shoe trees inside of them to keep their shape. After wearing these boots, ensure you brush off any excess mud (especially around the seams), and give them time to dry before wearing them again. When the leather is dirty or appears dry, make sure you take care of it with leather conditioner, and clean any mud away. If you treat them well, these boots will be your best friend!
Please note that due to the design of these boots, they likely won’t be tight at your ankle - this is because we need to allow room for your foot to get in. This means that depending on your foot, ankle and calf measurements, they may have a bit of room at the narrowest part of your leg instead of being perfectly tight.
We hope that you enjoy these boots! Remember - put them on and lace them up BEFORE the breastplate and armor. Some of us here at the office have made that mistake a few too many times!

Please take your measurements attentively - your carefulness will help us make your shoes perfect.
Also you should remember that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that they fit very slim. It will get your feet shape after one or two days of usage.
For people with broad ankle or non-standard leg proportion we recommend to order more loose shoes, because this model assume slim fitting.

I was wondering how tall these boots are? And where the knee cut out starts? I really love how they look but I'm pretty tall and would really want them to reach above the knee.
