High Ankle Shoes "Sellsword"

Early Renaissance Medieval Ankle Boots

Some people love boots, some love shoes, and "never the twain shall meet". But in real life, things that are "in-between" are often the most balanced choice for many reasons. These shoes, which are an essential part of our "Sellsword" and "Hedge Knight" kits, are transitional footwear between the Late Middle Ages and Early Renaissance, and also a perfect combination of the elegant travel boots and shoes you might find convenient to use with armor. ArmStreet made its name in the world of history-oriented events, costuming, and LARP – particularly in footwear – by combining Medieval or Renaissance aesthetics with modern-day technology and quality. We make your character look cool without making you suffer for it. So, these shoes are no exception: they are built on a modern foundation with a medieval pattern top and a thin Vibram sole, which is very hard to notice visually. And even when you do, it looks exactly like a leather sole, with that tiny difference that it doesn't slide and holds better.

Additionally, the toe is shaped in a way that it could potentially work with a sabaton, while the upper part allows you to use greaves with it.

Also, as we always say, the good armor kit or costume starts with proper padding and footwear, so when you put your feet on the bench in some random tavern where your character decided to stay, everyone will notice you're not just a random no-name civilian. Those shoes have seen roads, but they have also seen some palaces and villas, too.

Important note about measurements: Please be accurate when taking your measurements, as it drastically influences our ability to make an item that will suit you perfectly. Keep in mind that natural leather is soft material and it will stretch, so when you are getting your shoes it is normal that they fit very slim. They will adjust to your feet shape after one or two days of usage.
