This sword is historically inspired, taking heavy design queues from the XV century. There are aspects of this sword that make it a trademark late XV century European sword, such as the straight quillons and rings around the crossguard. This sword is simple and classy, evoking beauty with its clean lines and fine craftsmanship opposed to etching and other ornamental additions.

Arming swords are excellent multipurpose weapons, used largely as a backup weapon or as an every day fighting tool. They are the kind of sword you would reach for if your lance broke, or if you encampment was attacked in the middle of the night. This sword, however, will not be protecting you from any midnight sieges – it is purely a decorative piece and is not at all sharp. That being said, we would prefer if you did not swing it at others – though one the sword is in your hands, we trust you to use it responsibly. It will be an amazingly realistic cosplay prop, or just the perfect piece to hang above your fireplace.

The blade of the sword is constructed from stainless steel. It is long and thin and tapers into a point. It is hollow inside to reduce the weight of the sword, making it the ideal ornamental piece. The stainless steel also means that the sword will resist rust and remain shiny without much extra maintenance. The grip of this sword is a comfortable black leather that is easy to hold.

The scabbard is very similar to the sword – it is simple and minimalist, but constructed from high-quality materials. A stainless steel core is used to ensure that it fits the sword perfectly – you’ll be very satisfied by the sound it makes when it goes in and out of the scabbard! The scabbard has two points of suspension, which are embossed with a geometric pattern that matches the rest of the set. These are connected to straps that can be adjusted to make sure you are getting the most comfortable position possible.

Just as a reminder, this sword is not meant for combat, cutting, duels, or any other violent activity. It is a prop, intended to be a display piece, and the blade cannot be sharpened.
