Fairy tales tend to lie to us. They will tell us that leprechauns are friendly creatures waiting at the end of the rainbow to bring you joy and fortune. According to Irish folklore, though, they have a habit of being a little bit more sinister. Solitary and tricksy, they are known to play tricks for their own amusement, often at the expense of mortals…

Celtic folktales have such beautiful darkness – it’s difficult not to fall in love with them. The collection that contains this cane has been inspired by the history of Ireland and the magic of Celtic mythology, combined with a little bit of our own creativity to truly capture the spirit of the land.

This is our attempt to create a decorative weapon that is also useful. We believe that there is a special kind of beauty in practicality! That being said - please keep in mind that you won’t be chopping down any trees with this item, it is more cane than axe and isn’t actually sharpened to be used as a tool. The “axe head” portion of the cane is also hollow, meaning that the whole item is quite light and easy to carry around. We have constructed the head from stainless steel, which is lustrous, shiny, and isn’t likely to rust on you any time soon.

This item comes to you fully assembled and ready to use, including the beautiful piece of wood that we have made into the cane. It has a rustic finish to it, which gives it a unique character and is completed with the help of a stainless steel end cap.

Please be aware that this is not actually a weapon, and has been created to be decorative. We don’t advise that you swing it at any people, pets or property, and if you do choose to use it as a pointing device, be careful not to damage belongings. Once this cane is in your hands, it is your responsibility.
