For many years, we have been crafting gambesons for a wide range of fencing formats, always striving to improve our designs — from the fit and cut to sewing technology and visual aesthetics. To achieve this, we work closely with fighters, both in-house and externally, especially those who use it professionally. And believe us, we do our best to incorporate their feedback and wishes into our products.

This is exactly how the design of this short, functional under-armour quilted jacket was created. This garment can serve as both a full-fledged arming layer and an elegant, comfortable jacket at any event. The shimmering velvet, architectural quilting lines, and the shaped scalloped hem — all these details echo the visual language of medieval manuscript art.

The gambeson features a thin but strong, natural-colored lining made of a linen-cotton blend. The two-seam sleeve, inspired by the best modern tailoring practices, offers exceptional freedom of movement for the arm while maintaining a very traditional late medieval look.

We devoted a great deal of effort to crafting the delicate, soft fastening cords from the same fabric as the outer layer, ensuring that no detail disrupts the garment's harmonious silhouette. Cotton velvet has always been considered a luxurious material, available only to the noble and wealthy. A velvet jacket was — and remains — a mark of status and refined taste.
