So, ArmStreet has been around for 20 years, and this is precisely for how long we've been improving our finger-gauntlets design. We have been searching for the perfect balance between articulation and protection while meeting SCA requirements and keeping those compact and historically looking.
Overall, the "King's Guard" is a luxurious version of our hourglass finger gauntlets, one of the most known and popular medieval gauntlets designs.
While we are always up to designing something new, very few things can replace twenty years of customer feedback, our own and other fighters' field tests, and thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of fights these gauntlets have been into.
So, it's time for a more profound renovation. The design is still in place with all its beautiful details and accents, but the material is now spring steel, which makes these gauntlets harder and lighter. Does it make sense? And if so, we also offer two different types of finishing to show you how beautiful a sating polishing looks on these gauntlets.
Initially, we designed these gauntlets for the SCA; however, a lot of people use them for steel swords WMA for both one-handed and two-handed weapons. Likewise, the weight is reasonable to use this armor for lighter and later weapons, such as sabers and side-swords.

- Spring steel 1.2 mm main plate and cuffs;
- Spring steel 1 mm finger plates;
- Brass accents;
- Genuine gloving leather - inner gloves.

- Handmade cast rivets;
- Etched inscription on knuckles: “Dictum factum” (Latin) — “What is said is done” (eng);
- Etched inscription on brass border: “Contra iram inimicorum meorum extendes manum [tuam]” (Psalm 138:7, Latin), which means “Thou shalt stretch forth [thine] hand against the wrath of mine enemies.”
