Fantasy functional tempered steel helmet

Surely you’ve heard stories of the Dark Wolf –the silent man who commands armies in the dead of night. His reputation speaks louder than words ever could.

Our new “Dark Wolf” collection is brutal and breathtaking, designed to protect you in battle as well as intimidate your enemies and leave them in awe. Inspired by some of our more flexible collections of armor, it is fitted, articulated, and made to move with you and feel like a part of you instead of encumbering you or holding you back. When wearing any piece of armor from this set you will feel fearless, untouchable, and stylish.

There is some loose historical inspiration for this helmet, but more than anything it is a work of fantasy. You can see elements of the bascinet, barbute, and sallet throughout, and we feel that it suits the aesthetic of some kind of alternate XV century reality. The rest of the collection is fitted and articulated in a way that was common in the XV century and could be compared to the type of armor that a wealthy person or knight might wear.

This helmet is purpose made for fighting. Crafted from 2mm spring steel, every single part of this helmet is made with combat in mind. It protects you from crown to chin and includes a visor that can be lifted for airflow between fights. There are two eye holes that give you decent visibility, and thick mesh near your mouth to allow for a bit more breathability. Two thick hooks at the bottom allow for you to lock the visor done and keep it nice and secure during your fight.

This is one of our first men’s helmets made from spring steel. Spring steel is a new material to our workshop, first used for our female “Dark Star” Collection. Even though spring steel is difficult to work with and takes a lot of time to perfect, it’s worth it because the steel is much stronger than mild or stainless steel and therefore armor can be made thinner without compromising structural integrity. The end result is a piece of armor that is strong, lightweight, and far superior to basic mild steel. This helmet also contains a contrast of polished silver spring steel on the visor and blackened spring steel on the rest of the helmet.

This helmet is pre padded and ready to wear. We’ve used a brand new method of padding with this helmet and it has been riveted securely for maximum comfort. Two leather straps are used to secure the helmet on your head as well.
