How did you make your way to the secret garden? Did you read about it in the myths of your people? Did you stray too far from the beaten path and find yourself here? Or did you hear it calling like whispers on the wind? You may as well make yourself comfortable, for those who tend to wander into the secret garden have a habit of staying here for a while…
Our popular new line of “Secret Garden” dresses inspired this stunning belt. Made from lush flax linen with contrasting trim, the dresses were just begging for a beautiful line of accessories to compliment them and take their style to the next level. We chose natural leather and the fetching gleam of our signature etched metals to create this show-stopping piece that’s almost too good to keep in your costume drawer, and might make its way into mainstream fashion!
The materials are truly what make the piece. Though we love the tactile nature of plain leather, we decided to take it even further and design an embossing pattern to enhance the natural beauty of the leather. The pattern takes motifs seen in the trim of the Secret Garden Dress as well as the floral designs of the Secret Garden brooch to create an unforgettable design that spans the leather belt from start to finish. The belt itself is 3cm wide, and fastens with a chain and hook, which makes it easy to fit a variety of different outfits.
The two metal discs at the ends of the belt are etched in a similar way as our other Secret Garden components, creating a perfectly matching collection of accessories. The pattern is reminiscent of flowers and other floral features, but is still abstract enough that it could also be interpreted as a star, snowflake, or whatever you imagine it to be! The finishing touch on this beautiful belt is the little matching pendant at the end of the chain, weighing it down slightly and also giving it a little bit of a fancy finish.
The style of belt is usually referred at as a “girdle belt”, and was commonly worn by women in the XV century. Traditionally, it may have been made from woven silk, thin leather, or fabric and finished with castings. In the usual ArmStreet fashion, the Secret Garden Belt is still a nod to its historical origin, but makes use of modern technologies to create a unique piece with our own personal twist. This style is incredibly versatile and is an easy way to instantly dress up any outfit.
We can craft this beautiful belt from brown, black, or milk white leather, and the metal accents can be either brass or stainless steel.

Is the hips measurement hip bone (number 8 on your sizing chart) or the widest part of the hips (number 9 on your chart)? Thanks
Hi Rebecca, it is number 9
Do you have any pictures of this belt but in stainless and brown? I am also wondering if you also have a picture of the alchemist's daughter's belt in stainless steel and brown? :)
Hi Malin! Unfortunately, we do not have the pics of these belts with stainless steel accents. Kindly note, that stainless steel cannot be blackened so the accents will be not so contrast. Please find attached two pictures of the same clasp so you can see the difference - one is made of brass, other is made of stainless steel.
Will the matching leather choker be available any time soon?
Hi Laura! Yes! It will be on the website soon. Stay tuned!
