This chic summer headwear or also a shawl is very light and soft to the touch. It's designed to fit around your head and neck and drape over your shoulders. It can be used as a headscarf, a mantle or a shawl for your choice - absolutely indispensable for summer evening saunter!
Made of high quality half-transparent linen, authentic and thin like silk. This piece is large, rectangular shaped, measures 78 inches wide and is 59 inches in length (2 m x 1.5 m). Shown in White fine linen with a gorgeous Franks trim. If you're willing to use it as a head wrap or a headscarf, we can make it of thin fine linen (white, natural or black color), and if you'd like to use it as a shawl - it can be made of thicker colored linen, which is a perfect way to add a colorful period touch to your outfit.
Head shawls and mantles were worn extensively by women in the Middle Ages. This striking mantle scarf can be worn in many different ways to create various period styles as shown in the photos, as well as to protect your hair from the sun and wind. Lovely addition to your summer medieval or Renaissance Faire wardrobe!

I bought this in navy blue with the blue Rowena trim. It is beautiful with a decent weight to it. It will go with both my lighter blue Viking dress and blue autumn princess dress without being too heavy in the Texas heat
