Black cloak is one of the most popular and expected things among medieval enthusiasts, SCAdians and reenactors. Multipurpose simple black cotton hooded cloak is really what most our customers want to have in their wardrobe. Now this very popular and practical thing available in our store along with black tunic which you can buy separately.
As usually we tried to make it as wide as possible. We used 10 yards of fabric to make it full-round. Also, this cloak is sewed from gussets - so that it would have the correct length, regardless of your height. It's suitable for any height.

It's too long for me, even when wearing boots, reaching well beyond the floor. I think it's easy to fix though, so not really a problem! I ordered it without a hood, and I'm very pleased with how it looks :)

Cape seems to keep you warm in any case. It is a little long, because it drags a lot on the ground, but otherwise I really like the result Highly recommend

I absolutely love this cloak, perfect for keeping me warm and my clothes clean when it's snowing heavily. Only downside is the hood, which is so light that when you put it up it either slips far forward and covers your eyes, or catches the wind and blows clear off your head. I've not worked out how to deal with that yet...

Thanks for your response to my question. The first photo of the "On Watch" is so magnificent, I can't pass it up. Is this cape made to order height-wise or one size fits all? I'm just 5'9" but I want a cape full to the ground. Thanks. Your inventory is just fantastic.
Hi Lew, it is full round cloak which is made in custom size height-wise.
My dream is to have a cloak exactly like this "On Watch" cape, but in warmer wool. No ornamentation. I hope you will consider this in the future. Thank you.
Hi Lew, we can offer you Halloween cloak instead which can be made with straight hem and it is made in wool.
Does this cloak keep cold out during the winter? How does it handle rain?
As we always say - winter can be very different :) The cloak is made of thick cotton, it is not very warm, but should be ok for Autumn.
Since it is made of cotton, it won`t handle rain very well and will get wet quite fast. We recommend you taking a look at our woolen cloaks, they are much warmer:

I love your "on watch" black cloak. If I ordered one could I have you make the hood larger? I would use it for a Jedi Cosplay and I have never found a cloak I really like. Yours is perfect but the hood would need to be deeper and wider. Is that possible? I am 75 inches tall.

Can this be made in black flax? is there an additional charge?
We don't recommend to make this cloak of flax - it's very light fabric for a cloak.

Does this black cloak come by itself or with the tunic, pants etc.?
