This is a great quality black leather frog. The sword frog is a part of our “Knight of the West” collection. Made of genuine leather and decorated with a beautifully etched brass plate. Intended for the swords with a blade width up to 4.3 cm or 1 11/16 in. Custom width is available upon request.

Please note that this item made of stainless steel/with stainless steel accents will be non-blackened, as blackening cannot be performed on stainless steel.

Greetings armstreet, I have a question concerning this sheath (frog) for sword. MY blade width on its widest part is 5.5 cm, I know you can widen the frog to fit such a sword (I understand the stainless steel will look like a smaller emblem on the frog cause of it). Considering that sword is relatively large (overall length is 45" and blade length is 35") I am scared will this frog be strong enough to keep it balanced. Considering the longitude of the blade, will this frog (which looks relatively short), be strong enough to keep it balanced on the hip and it won't bend towards floor as it seems sword itself weights around 4.5-5 kilograms? I also have a question about the belt part of this set. Considering the weight of the sword will the belt be able to hold a "weapon" of such size?
Hello, yes the sheath is strong enough as well as the belt. It costs 20% extra to customize the sheath. Kindly leave a comment to your order with all the details on the sword (width, length and thickness of the blade) so we could make it right.
Im interested in getting the leather sword frog "knight of the west" with gold accents and chestnut brown leather the sword im intending it to hold would be 1 and 5/16" inch width it is for the schweizerdegen sword made by arms and armor if youd like to check their site thank you
Just mention the sword dimensions in the comments to your order and we`ll make the frog according to them.
will it cost more to get it widened for larp swords ?
It won`t cost any extra, just switch to the "Custom size" tab and specify the width and circumference of the blade at its widest point in a comment to your order. Please note, the size of the brass plate cannot be changed, only the leather part can be adjusted.

Custom size is possible, the size of the brass plate cannot be changed, but the leather case can be wider. To get the proper size, please specify the width and circumference of the blade at its widest point in a comment to your order.
