The modern era immerses us in a constant race and streams of new information fight for our attention. Tired of this race, many of us find comfort doing historical reconstruction, taking part in live action role-playing games and even doing such a challenging sport as the Historical Medieval Battles (HMB).

It cannot be said that the life of our ancestors was simple - quite the opposite, their life was a permanent overcoming. But with our current knowledge and the opportunities our civilization offers we can simulate a very pleasant medieval experience, taking away all the Middle Age horrors and leaving just the fun part. And what is more fun than hitting your buddies with a sword?

Nowadays one can become a medieval warrior, a knight or a man-at-arms, without even bothering with the hardships of caring for metal armor. Soft Armor equipment is safe, easy to transport and maintain and yet it provides you a very realistic fight experience!

One of its most essential parts is this helmet. Since Soft swords are made of foam and are quite safe, there are many options for those who do not want to wear a very bulky set. However it is hard to imagine someone doing this sport with their head unprotected. You need a helmet!

And this one is nicely made, with a thick steel bar grill that provides great vision, just like many SCA style helmets. There is also additional detachable padding on the top, that could be useful if you are going into a fierce fight with many participants. The helmet is covered with eco leather and has a lining inside which is very pleasant to touch.

This helmet is very light (weighs less than 2,9 lbs or 1,3 kg) compared to its steel counterparts and is way more comfortable to wear, and yet gives you the experience necessary to understand fighting in armor better.
