Leather-covered armor legs, late 15th c.
Great quality splinted legs with fluted poleyns. 1.5 mm mild steel knee cops and hidden 1 mm metal plates on cuisses. Leather cuisses reinforced with metal bars provides great protection, good shock-absorption properties and flexibility. Perfectly dished poleyns holds very well thanks too fluted surface and looks just amazing. Late XV century design.

Yes, the armourer says that it is possible, it will cost $50.00 extra.
can the cuisse be one solid piece of steel like the european armour cuisses with knee cops? not splinted or covered in leather . could it be made from stainless steel?
The cuisses can be made of steel for $35 extra, as here, but only of mild steel, cause the knees from this set can be made of mild (cold-rolled) steel only. Armor elements cannot be made of different metals (eg mild + stainless steel in one kit).

Splinted Armor Legs can be made with the Paladin knee cops for $50 extra.
