Medieval Long Bracers Bazubands

Boat-shaped forearm armour bracers

Sometimes you need no decorations nor a full set of armor - indeed, parades and tournaments don’t happen everyday, just regular arm armour for cutting practice at your training. And these vambraces are a good instance of basic armour stuff by ArmStreet. Consider them the equivalent of a t-shirt in each modern wardrobe.

We’re constantly refining our basic armour models, which shall comply with three principal criteria: to be reliable, comfortable, and accessible. These boat-shaped bracers meet all the requirements, as they are made of stainless steel 1.5 mm thick, easy to wear with leather buckled straps and attractively priced. Their elongated back plate firmly closes the elbow, allowing one to neglect the separate cops. Longer outer and shorter inner plate are connected with solid steel hinges. Hand hammered and neatly polished lengthwise, they feature smooth edges. All the rims of tightly adjacent parts are turned inward to prevent accidental scratches.

Finished product will be proportioned in accordance with your individual measurements. Owing to their Asia Minor descent, the bazubands match properly the Eastern segmented mitten gauntlets, turban helmets, and lamellar body protection, but also complement any early medieval harness. Simply slide them across your forearms to get ready to fight!

Also available in 14 ga stainless steel for $50 extra.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions.

Important note about measurements: please take into account that we need your measurements in gambeson, choses or other under-armour gear you are planning to use with this armor. The only exception is when you are ordering both armour and padding from our company — in this case you can send us your body measurements. For sabatons please send your footwear actual measurements.

Safety disclaimer: Sword-fighting and fencing is a dangerous sport. Fencing, historical fencing, medieval reenactment and martial arts as well as other related types of activity, are inherently connected to a certain risk level of injuries or death. The Company declines all responsibility for any traumas or harm done to oneself or to the third person, along with any material or consequential damage, impaired during the products usage. We admonish that all acts with armour, weapons or their components have to be performed before designated person who is responsible for safety of the particular event and accredited to supervise armour and sport weapon conformance to the event’s standards.

  • Tristan 25 of August 2018:

    Are these SCA legal?

    ArmStreet:

Hi, Tristan! These bazubands can be SCA legal if you wear them with elbow cops. It is important for the elbow to be protected properly.

  • Matthew Lambert 25 of June 2017:

Is it possible to fully extend your arms comfortably in these bracers? Or do they inhibit full extension because of the wrap around at the elbow? Thanks

    ArmStreet Team:

Yes, it is comfortable to extend the arms.

  • Aaron Harris 09 of March 2017:

Are this arms combat ready or are they for show?

    ArmStreet team:

The bazubands are meant to be used for fighting, not just for show. :) They are made of 16 ga stainless steel, can be upgraded to 14 ga stainless steel for $50.00 extra. They are comfy and reliable.
