Lightweight but sturdy it's handcrafted of genuine leather. The braiding techniques used require in times more leather than the length of the finished item. Designed with a knot and loop closure, it's versatile and it can fit all head sizes as well. A pair of brass etched oval medallions sits atop a headband.
Etched pattern depicts the Labyrinth - a sacred symbol used for thousands of years in many religions and cultures as a meditation and prayer tool for healing, enhancing your intuition and keeping safe. Wearing a Labyrinth amulet is considered powerfully healing.
Features neat close fit, good stretch. Can be worn on top of the head, on the hairline, or across the forehead for a range of styles. I adore the unique look of this piece but was worried it would gradually slip down my head. Well, with one bobby pin strategically hidden on each side, it stayed put all day for multiple festivals through the years. It's a great addition to my Valkyrie costume.
