The “Morning Star” Collection is as practical as it is beautiful. It can be a struggle to find armor that properly fits the female body, which is why we wanted to create something that is not only comfortable but also looks utterly amazing and will make you feel powerful and unstoppable. The whole collection is easy to move in due to lots of articulated pieces as well as lightweight materials, with contrasting shiny silver with brassed accents.

While the whole collection is loosely inspired by XV century armor, these pauldrons have no specific inspiration and are a little bit fantasy. They still abide by the sleek aesthetic you would find in that time period, but also have an extra little bit of design flair to make them look stunning.

These pauldrons are very articulated, meaning they contain many different connected plates that allow for movement. They start with a piece of leather with lacing holes in it so that they can be laced to your gorget or gambeson. From there, there are two lames that then connect to a sword breaker segment that has been accented with brass plating. Underneath the sword breaker, there are three more lames down your upper arm, before a final small panel of white leather connected to a strap that allows you to secure the armor around your bicep. Beautiful flower-shaped rondels protect your underarm area, with decorative lion-shaped rivets.

Spring steel is a material that has really given us the freedom to experiment with different weights of armor. Our most commonly used steels before were mild and stainless, which are fantastic but also have the issue of needing to be a bit thicker in order to be protective. Because spring steel is so strong, we can make the armor a bit thinner which makes it much lighter for you to wear.

These pauldrons are handcrafted with care and attention to detail and are made from quality materials including solid rivets and strong leather. The main plate is made from 1.2mm spring steel, with slightly thinner 1mm spring steel lames. Though we have plated the central piece in brass, these pauldrons are also available without brass plating or with blackened shoulder plate instead.

IMPORTANT: To fit correctly and prevent injury, a suit of armour must be accurately built to the measurements of the person wearing it. PLEASE take all measurements over either the gambeson or under-padding you are planning to wear with this armour. The sole exception is for persons buying armour and padding together, ArmStreet will then make the proper size adjustments for the armour based on the measurements provided for the padding.
